The creation of the new regions have been on our airwaves, print media and online media for quite sometime, and on 27 December, 2018, a referendum was held in the respective regions to ascertain whether the government should proceed with the creation or not.
Ghana’s former President, voted as usual, in his constituency in Bole in the Northern Region.
The former president voted ‘YES’, meaning he fully supports the creation of the new regions, although his party’s (NDC), were initially against the creation of the regions.
