His greatest nemesis, Lionel Messi fell below the Juventus star who earned a whooping $105 million last year. On the log, he finished one spot above Messi and below retired boxer, Floyd Mayweather and Golf Champion, Tiger Woods.
Cr7, as he is preferably called, claimed the 4th position whilst Messi occupied the the 5th spot. The latest rankings earns Ronaldo and his fans the bragging rights over Messi fans as he is the first footballer in history to ever reach such status.
