The CEO of the Black Avenue Muzik, Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, well known in showbiz scenes as D Black has revealed that he was expelled from his secondary school, Pope Johns Senior School for breaking school rules.

Speaking in a Twitter Space conversation with the Twitter Influencer, KalyJay, D Black revealed that he was expelled during his third year after he broke the school’s bonds to Accra to record a few songs. He said that he was suspended during his first, second until his third year where he was expelled from t he school.

D Black revealed that he had to miss writing his final WASSCE exams afterward and he had to register for the NOV/DEC private examination which he passed with flying colors.

He then continued to the University of Cape Coast(UCC) to study Economics but later transferred to the University of Ghana, Legon to study Theater Arts, where he garnered the experience he has now in running his six companies.

In other news, award-winning dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., well known as Shatta Wale has heaped praises on his colleagues, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Medikal, and Criss Waddle for investing their time and money into their respective crafts despite the fact the Ghana music industry has failed to back them.

According to Shatta Wale, the Ghanaian music industry has not done enough to support artists in Ghana yet have the guts to talk about their craft and flaws on air.
