A video of a Ghanaian young lady preaching on the streets of Accra with a bowl placed in front of her for offertories has popped up on the internet.
On any normal day, this is no news at all as Ghana, just like several African countries, is overly religious and such scenes are commonplace.
However, this girl in question is completely deaf and dumb (in Ghana, we call them mumu) and it comes as a huge shock that she took up a Public Address System (megaphone) to transmit an inaudible message (she’s dumb, meaning she can’t utter words at all).
Her gestures and unnecessary shouting with nothing understandable coming out of her whatever she wanted to say has intrigued social media users greatly.
