The Inspector General of Police James Oppong-Boanuh has cautioned police personnels and their families living in police barracks throughout the country to desist from partisan politics.

Mr James Oppong-Boanuh urged the police to engage the people living in the Barracks if they have issues and report it to high authority if the are unable to be of help to them.

The IGP revealed this to members of police service in his Western North Region tour as part of his day’s official working visit.

“Desist from political discussions. Once they live in the barracks they should not engage in political talks. The Barracks not an avenue for political gossips. When they are not comfortable with an issue, they should engage you and then you will talk to the authorities”, he said.

The police has huge responsibility of maintaining law and order as we are nearing the December 2020 elections.
