Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko was born on August 12, 1989, in a village called Udi which is located in Enugu State, Nigeria.

Etiko had both her primary and secondary school in Enugu State and later obtained her first degree at Nnamdi Azikiwe University where she studied Theater Arts.

Destiny Etiko shot to fame after her role in 2014 as Ekemma in the movie Idemili.

In an interview with Vanguard, Destiny Etiko described how hectic it was for her to act after registering with Actors Guild Of Nigeria in 2011 as a result of her schooling and acting at the same time.

Etiko’s hard work through her career received her massive recognition after she featured in a movie titled Idemili which was produced in 2012 by Ernest Obi but was not released until 2014.

Her role in the movie earned her a City People Entertainment Awards nomination. Before her role in the movie titled Idemili, Etiko had appeared in other movies although she did not receive prominent roles in them.

Personal life

Though most Nollywood industry players relocate to Lagos as a way to succeed more in their career, Etiko who was born in Enugu state is still residing and acting from Enugu State. During Etiko’s interview, the actress revealed she has been a victim of sexual harassment by male movie producers.  

In 2018, Destiny Etiko gifted her mum an apartment and praised her for supporting her decision to become an actress. In 2020, she lost her father to the cold arms of death.

Destiny is mostly seen around with male friends but the actress is yet to grab a husband to warm her bed to cut everything short the actress is single.
