The ever-exciting and growing popularity of unarguably the best reality show in Ghana, Di Asa will come to a pulsating end on Monday, December 28, 2020.
As a BIG fan of the show since its inception, I’ve come to know the rudiments of the game and how winners emerge. Aside from last year’s show that the verdict was stolen for PM (Precious Mensah) at the expense of Gaza who was the clear favourite (Gaza is the best Di- Asa contestant of all time, in my unbiased estimation), the show has been devoid of any controversy so far (perhaps you could also make a case for Irene, Bene and Pandi in Season 1 who were snubbed for Mama Gee who took the Ist Runner-up position).
Heading to Monday’s grand finale, Maame stands tall and will win hands down unless she develops a running stomach and is unable to compete at all. She has been very consistent throughout the competition with breathtaking dance moves that will make you wonder if she’s a market woman or a professional dancer.
In fact, this year’s Di-Asa show has some of the best dancers we have ever seen. The likes of Naa Dollar, Diamond, Anita, SM, Mimi have proved that they can win the prize on the day and honestly if anything goes wrong and Maame doesn’t win, any of the aforementioned persons can will.
This author sees Naa Dollar as the closest challenger to Maame and it’s interesting how things will turn up. We don’t want to see Sally and Fafa making it to the top five because of their elephant size akin to how they pushed PM to the ultimate. They simply don’t know how to dance at all.
Di-Asa is powered by Atinka TV, a subsidiary of Atinka Media Village, and it’s a reality show designed to make chubby market women shed some flesh while burning calories through dancing and winning mouthwatering prizes in the end.
