A Zimbabwean DJ called DJ Flavah has said Shatta Wale is the best on the continent when it comes to Dance-hall music.
The age-long debate as to who’s the best when it comes to Dance-hall music in Ghana as ranged on for years with no definitive consensus.
Often the answer peculiarly lies in ones allegiance to the two of the biggest fan-base in Ghana, Shatta Movement and Bhim Nation.
Just few days ago, Stonebwoy was performing at the University of Ghana, Legon during their SRC week. The Bhim Nation boss punctuated his show with a brief speech where he elevated his status, calling himself the best Dance-hall on the continent.
“I don’t see any competition, take it or leave it. I’m the only reggae/dancehall artiste to win BET for Ghana and in the whole of Africa,” Stonebwoy said.
Apparently, DJ Flavah knows next to nothing about the politics we do with this kind of debate here in Ghana so when he laid his hands on a song from South African Dancehall artist NC Dread’s “We Gi Dem” song which featured Shatta Wale, dude gushed it all out, crowning Wale the best on the continent.
