Pretoria-born South African disk jockey DJ Sumbody has just expanded his night club business empire after opening yet another club in Cape Town.

Avid followers of the businessman on social media know he owns a few clubs in his native Pretoria, the popular Ayepyep Lifestyle. Over the festive period, the DJ launched another club in the mother city with some famous faces, including Thuli Phongolo and rapper Cassper Nyovest, there to support.

Last year the DJ found himself making headlines after it was reported that he had sued Cassper for fraud. Cassper debunked the allegation and hit out at the various local publications, spreading the news he deemed fake news.

Cass probably felt targeted because fellow rapper Tshego also indirectly accused him of using his money and music without paying him a cent.

“If I told you I haven’t seen a single cent (sales) from Hennessy, Garden, The Vibe, Tell Em Say, So High, Dem Ah Wind, etc… What would you say? Mind you, I OWN THE MASTERS ON ALL THESE SONGS!” the rapper wrote.

“Been fighting a very silent legal battle. And when I win this case on Monday the humble sh*t stops,” Tshego tweeted.

Cassper’s Family Tree record label allegedly owns the masters of these songs. But Sumbody apparently merits 25% of the masters, which he and the producer who assisted in producing the song didn’t receive from Cassper.

Laying all the rumours of a feud between the two parties was Sumbody’s lawyer, who confirmed to the newspaper that there is a legal case pending but reiterated that there is no feud between the two entertainers.
