The Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Hon Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has called on Ghanaians to vote massively for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the upcoming general election.

According to him, the ruling party smells victory but it will depend on the prays of all believers especially leadership of the religious bodies.

Hon Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu who is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Suame, made the call when he paid a visit to some churches to thank God for his acclamation as the party’s candidate for this year’s parliamentary elections.

The churches include the Upper Room Assemblies of God, Bremang Methodist Church and CCC, at Kronum Kwapra in the Suame municipality.

According to him, the NPP government has performed better than the Mahama administration by fulfilling most of it’s promises.

He said elections are opportunities for people to choose their preferred candidates to lead the country for the next four years as enshrined in the 1992 constitution.

Failure to vote, according to him, will pave way for other persons to elect their favourite candidates to rule over them.

‘All eligible voters need to vote in this year’s general election. Don’t allow some people to vote and choose their canfididate to rule over you” Majority Leader asserted.

Hon Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, said such situation would be unfortunate and urged Ghanaians to take a decisive step to vote massively for the ruling party for continuity of better policies .

According to him, only Ghanaians will vote in this year’s elections adding the elections will be peaceful and violent free.

The Legislator therefore asked Christians to continue to pray for the leaders in the country saying without God nothing could be possible.

The majority Leader was accompanied by Dr John Osei Bobie-Boahin, MCE for Suame, Hon Maxwell Ofosu Boakye, Presiding Member and the constituency executives.
