Former Black Stars striker, Augustine Arhinful, has warned coach Kwesi Appiah not to give Kevin-Prince Boateng , who joined Spain’s giant Barcelona, a call-up to the national team.
Barcelona announced Monday that it has signed the German-born Ghanaian forward, from Italian side Sassuolo, who surprised some connoisseurs.
Although his heroics with Sassuolo has been impressive in the last six months, Arhinful hopes that Boateng should return to the national team based on his willingness to serve the country.
“We must first ask Kevin if he wants to go back to the black star before he starts talking about it. For the moment, the advantage we will receive as a Ghanaian is that Kevin has been tagged by local and foreign media companies as a ‘former Black Star player’ and I think that will make even more of name of Ghana”, Arhinful said in his submission.
