Precious Mensah, known affectionately as PM has bemoaned the fact that obese people like her are grossly marginalized in almost every facet.
The Ghanaian celebrity who rose to stardom after participating in the DI Asa programme, a competition powered by Atinka Media Village designed for only plus-sized market women to enable them to shed some flesh, said she has to take her own chair to parties or sit on the stairs whenever she visits the cinema.
Infamously remembered for missing her Dubai trip which was part of her prize package for winning Di Asa, PM expressed frustration at having to pay for two seats when she rides commercial buses.
“If people are doing things, they shouldn’t do it for only small people. Why you want plus-sized people to die or do you want us to kill ourselves?,” PM told BBC Pidgin in an interview.
According to her, she has been plus-sized since she was aged six and her weight is not as a result of food or medication.
