Speaking with Ola Michael on Neat FM, the BET Nominee stated that his interest in venturing into the music scene was after he listened to the Canadian rapper, Drake and how he made it to the top.

According to the “Winning” crooner, he was already involved in music before he started listening to Drake. He said that he never had the passion of making a living out of the craft until he started listening to Drake.

“Before I started writing songs, I used to listen to Drake before I made up my mind to start writing my own songs But even before then I was already doing music but I never had the intentions of making a living out of it after I completed school”,

he said.

“Drake was the one who inspired me to take the craft serious and make a living out of it”, he added.

Kwesi Arthur further revealed that he used to do poetry during his hustling days but through Drake, he realized he could turn that around and start doing music.

He asserted that Drake normally expresses himself in his songs by narrating what he has been through and the life he lives, so after carefully assessing the Ghana Music industry, he realized that no rapper was going that deep when writing their songs so he decided to be the first to do so.

Kwesi Arthur also made mention that there is a high probability for him to work on something with the Canadian rapper soon.
