The Electoral Commission (EC) has introduced shortcodes that will enable registered voters to access their registration details.
The electoral commission has introduced the shortcode 1422 which will be activated on September 18th Friday to Friday, September 25th, 2020. Voters will have to text their voter ID card number to the newly created shortcode to access registration details.

The introduction of the shortcode EC says will give registered voters the opportunity to verify the genuineness of their personal information, The 8-day exercise will also help the EC to get rid of unqualified persons before the December 7 elections.
