After the release of the official results from 17 local government areas in Edo State, Obaseki is leading comfortably.
The difference between him and his closest contender who is the APC candidate is an overwhelming 80,000 votes. The last local government area has a total number of voters of 73,909.
This means even if his closest contender has all the votes from the last local government area, he will still not be able to win the election.
From this backdrop, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is set to announce Governor Godwin Obaseki.
