Ghanaian Female Vocalist and Songstress, Efya has reacted to the Accra Circuit court’s decision to convict the socialite, Rosemond Brown, also known as Akuapem Poloo.

In 2020, the socialite dropped some nude photos, posing with her 7-year-old son. Akuapem Poloo suffered in the hands of netizens for exposing her son to nudity at a very tender age.

She was dragged to court and charged with abusing the rights of the 7-year-old.

She has been remanded into police custody to undergo a pregnancy test before her final verdict on 16th April 2021.

In court today 14th April Wednesday, the actress pleaded guilty to all three charges and was convicted on her own plea by the court presided over by Her Honor Christina Cann.

In reaction to this, Songstress Jane Awindor, better known by her stage name Efya has lamented how the country is facing a lot of problems and yet a minor issue like Akuapem Poloo’s.

In a tweet, Efya said that there are important issues like girls being abused by men, lack of maternity beds in hospitals, people dying through road accidents, and the economy of the country is still at its worst state yet Akuapem Poloo’s case has been highlighted.

She wrote; This whole issue with akuapem poloo is beyond me .. we have abused girls , no beds at maternity wards !!! Accidents here n there … Economy Gbas .. And This Is What is being highlighted.. for what purpose..?? I can’t understand it ! Chale .. Wabl3
