Fans of Kumasi based rapper Kofi Jamar are in high anticipating that the rapper’s ‘Ekorso’ song will at least win them the ‘Vodafone Most Popular Song Of The Year’ in the upcoming 22 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA22).

Kofi Jamar released the ‘Ekorso’ song featuring fast-rising star Yaw Tog and Ypee in 2020 as one of the songs that was championing the ‘Kumerica’ movement. He received seven straight nomination in the upcoming musical event with majority of the nominations coming in from the works he did on the song.
He was nominated in some categories like the Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year, Best New Artiste, Best Hiplife/Hip Hop Artiste, Collaboration of the Year, EP of the Year, Best Hip Hop Song. He was spotted partying in a small boat with some family and friends after the announcement of his nominations.
He will be facing a very tough competition in the Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year category that has hit songs like ; ‘Atta Adwoa’ from Bosom P-Yung, ‘Sisa’ from King Promise, ‘Adom’- Diana Hamilton, ‘Sore’ from Yaw Tog featuring the Asakaa Boys, Kidi’s ‘Enjoyment’, Kuami Eugene’s ‘Open Gate’, ‘Happy Day from Sarkodie featuring Kuami Eugene, ‘Inna Song’ by Darkovibes featuring King Promise, ‘No Dulling’ from Keche featuring Kuami Eugene, ‘Say Cheese’ from Kidi and Medikal’s ‘La Hustle’ featuring Criss Waddle and Joey B.
His fans therefore are in great hopes that, even if the rapper doesn’t win any of the categories he is nominated for, it shouldn’t be the prestigious ‘Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year’ as they know ‘Ekorso’ was the biggest hit in 2020.

The song ended him up in the just ended 3Music awards of which he was nominated in the ‘Breakthrough Artiste of the Year’ and also a nice rehearsed performance. Jamar was also recently nominated in the upcoming 4syte MTN Music Videos Awards.
