President of the Republic of Ghana H.E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo,has urged all patriotic citizens in the country to step out and take part in the ongoing new voters’ registration exercise to make them eligible voters in the upcoming polls.
Ghana goes into polls to elect a new President and new Members of Parliament. In view of that, The EC is compiling new Voter’s ID for it’s citizens despite the exercise being hugely opposed by the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC and other pressure groups in the Ghana.
The NPP on Friday 10th July, 2020, tweeted that ”Please go out and register. It is Day 10 #RegisterToVote2020”
The President then commented with the hashtag ”#RegisterToVote2020”
The Electoral Commission’s new voters’ registration exercise started on 30th June, 2020 and will be brought to an end on 6th August, 2020.
