There have been a series of assaults on innocent lives by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Nigeria and aggrieved Nigerians have called for its termination immediately.
Following this, Nigerians together with concerned celebrities have taken to the streets to stage a protest to End SARS.

The #EndSARS hashtag has gone viral internationally after trending number 1 on Nigeria Twitter for some days now. However, an American Twitter user identified as Jake Bright has revealed that the #EndSARS is also being talked about by people in States.
He shared a screenshot showing the hashtag trending at Number 1 captioning;
#EndSARS, a hashtag connected to ending police brutality in Nigeria, is trending on NYC Twitter.
