Report reaching us concerning the explosion at an Engen refinery in Durban is that, Seven people are being treated for smoke inhalation in hospital.
Houses across the road from the refinery are reportedly being evacuated. KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Services officer, Robert McKenzie says;
“The exact cause of the fire or explosion is not known at this stage. We do know that after 7 am this morning there was an explosion at the refinery resulting in a fire and big smoke which rose quite high.”
