South African actress and ex-wife of DJ Black Coffee Enhle Mbali has taken to her Instagram account to thank gender-based activists who recently rallied behind her back at the Randburg Magistrates court.
The actress opened a case against her ex-husband DJ Black Coffee who she has accused of allegedly abusing her in their marital home on her birthday.
According to Enhle, Black Coffee started abusing her 7 years ago and it continued since until they divorced last year. Now the actress is not only standing up for herself but she is also helping others to find their voice against gender-based violence.
She recently announced her new role as an ambassador of the Winnie Mandela Cup for 2021, which fights all things abuse against women and children.
“I’m so proud and filled with joy to announce I am the ambassador of the @winnie_mandela_cup2021. I pledge to in my personal life and career to stand up against GBV. Pledge to be a Minnie Winnie in the fight, as that’s what the cup stands for,” she wrote on her Instagram account.
The tournament will take place soon and will help raise awareness in the fight against Gender-based violence.
Enhle took to her Instagram account this morning to share a video of GBV activists protesting outside the Randburg court, showing their support to her. “God, thank you,” she wrote, and the video shows people holding placards that read “Enough is Enough,” and “We believe you.”
