Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has declared to the civil servants under his jurisdiction to return to work on Monday, August 3, 2020.
This announcement comes after the Enugu State Government directed all civil servants to begin working from the comfort of their homes since March 23, 2020 as part of efforts to fight against the spread of the Coronavirus.
Prof. Simon Uchenna Ortuanya, the Secretary to the State Government released the directive. The government cautioned the civil servants to observe all Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) protocols for the containment of the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), with the use of face mask, washing of hands with soap under running water and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
The government has continued to pay the civil servants since they started working from their homes.
