Eskom has cut power in several households in Soweto and the Vaal to avoid network overload. The outages are expected to last until 9 pm on Wednesday evening.
It’s the second time in less than two months that Eskom has cut electricity supply to the Vaal and Soweto. Other areas affected include parts of Limpopo, the Free State, and KwaZulu-Natal.
