A former local government chairman in Katsina has been nabbed.

He is currently in the custody of the Katsina State Police Command and he was identified as Haruna Musa Mota as he served as the caretaker chairman for the Jibia Local Government Area of the state.

He was nabbed over alleged ties with bandits and this was confirmed the Spokesperson of the state police command, SP Gambo Isah.

He was arraigned before a senior magistrate court on Friday, February 5 and as we speak, he has been remanded in a Katsina correctional centre pending the time all investigations will be completed.

His arrest has become very necessary due to the fact that the country really having a difficult situation dealing with bandits.
