A 23-year-old at Fan Milk depot identified as Saddick Amoah has landed himself in police custody for using the company’s sales to stake bet.

Reports say that Saddick’s intention was to use the company’s sales which amount to GHC7,000 to stake a bet and after winning, he will return the company’s money and keep the profit.
Unfortunately, he lost the bet and he has not been able to refund the money since then. His employer identified as Madam Thelma Bortey detected that some cash is missing from the sales and decided to question Saddick about it.
She added that Saddick could not account for the money while auditing their accounts and refused to answer his calls whenever she demanded an explanation about the missing cash.
Saddick was then invited to the police station for questioning and there he confessed that he had used the missing money to stake the bet, expecting to win and return the money but the bet did not go through.
Saddick was arraigned before the court and he refused to admit to the crime even after confessing at the police station.
The court set his bail at GHC10,000.00 and asked anyone who wants to bail him to do so as the case has been adjourned to 3rd March 2021.
