COVID-19 is gradually taking down the joy in living life and having fun without fear. The world has never been the same since it outbreak in China. Some popular cities and neighbourhoods have now become ghost cities. Companies and shops have closed down over fears of contracting the deadly virus.
Following the widespread of the virus and it outbreak in the United State, staff of Twitter has asked it over 5,000 workers worldwide to work from home till further notice. This is to prevent them from contracting the virus. The information was shared through a blog post by human resouce chief, Jennifer Christie, ask especially staff in Asia to desist from using the workspace but rather work from home.

A section of the blog reads:
“Beginning today, we are strongly encouraging all employees globally to work from home if they’re able.
“Our goal is to lower the probability of the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus for us — and the world around us.

“While this is a big change for us, we have already been moving towards a more distributed workforce that’s increasingly remote. We’re a global service and we’re committed to enabling anyone, anywhere to work at Twitter.”
Twitter is not the only tech giant initiating this plan, other tech companies such as Apple, Facebook, and Google have ruled out travelling to epicentres such as China, Japan, South Korea, Iran, and Italy. Amazon and Salesforce have both ruled all nonessential business travel indefinitely as well.
Twitter CEO is set to move to Africa after he promised to travel down to Africa to settle down for a maximum of six months.
