In a sad report, an 18-year-old 100 level student of the Department of History and International Studies, University of Calabar, Veronica Bako Myomuter has reportedly ended her life.
Per what we gathered, she hails from Katsina-Ala in Benue State, and she allegedly drunk poison after she was scammed of her school fees which with the amount involved being N100,000.
It all started when she saw a social media message sent to her. The message was about an investment. She was told in the message that she could double any amount she would invest in a matter of minutes.
She fell for the trick as she transferred N100,000, however, she waited for eternity but she couldn’t get her money back prompting her to take her life.
