The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has revealed that the first batch of forty (40) students from Zongo and inner cities have been sent to Cuba to study medicine during an address delivered at the annual celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad in New Fadama Accra.

The second gentleman of the land added that gender parity was ensured in the selection of the students to be trained as medical doctors, with a selection of 20 males and 20 females made for the trip.

According to him, the Akufo-Addo government is committed to helping boost the Human Resource capacity of Zongo and other inner city kids.
