Fishermen in the Central Region, particularly Apam have registered their displeasure at the way the NPP government is managing their fishing activities, particular the PREMIX fuel situation, hence they have vowed do anything to bring back former president, John Mahama.

These fisher folks have planned to go to any extent, including visiting ‘maame water’ (Marine Spirit) to bring Mahama back to power in order to resurrect the collapsing fishing industry in the country under the administration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Speaking on behalf of the fishermen, the Chief Fisherman identified as Ebusuapanyin Martey disclosed that the fishermen are very disappointed in the government’s inability to provide them with enough premix fuel and subsidized outboard motors which was initiated by the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

He noted that, the price increment of premix fuel and outboard motors has made their livelihood difficult and promised to do everything possible to bring Mahama back to power come 2020, saying, and “even if we need to go deep into the sea to bring Mahama back we will”.
