Many social media users believe the current events surrounding the protest in which the police and the military have allegedly killed 3 protesters at Ejura in the Ashanti region after a clash is not what they signed up for.

Recall the #FixTheCountry protest started in the early days of May as an online and internet protest against the government and the leadership in t.he country for their inability to improve the lives of the average Ghanaian people.

Social media influencer such as Efia Odo and Kaly Jay who is the originator of the protest decided to hit the streets of Accra on May 9th, 2021 to protest but was apparently stopped by the Accra Regional Police Command after obtaining a restraining order from the Accra High Court prevent the group from protesting.

After several days of back and forth between the conveners of the protest and police service in court, the protest took a dynamic twist when some youth in the Ejura town hit the streets to protest and had a clash with the police service resulting in the sudden demise of one protester.

The next day was more gruesome when protesters again clashed with the police and the military leaving two people dead.

A Twitter fan who seems not to be in agreement with Efia Odo has slammed her saying the protest is not about asking people to hit the streets to protest.

According to the fan, the social media influencer could have used her influence and the protest to go to Agbogbloshie and educate the traders who are refusing to move to the new market developed for at Adjen Kotoku on why there is the need to move there so the minister can do his job.
