Brazilian football legend and former ballon d’Or winner, Ronaldinho has reportedly lost his mother after a battle with Covid-19.
In December, of last year, Ronaldinho took to his twitter page to announce her mothers deteriorating health with The Covid.
He wrote: “Dear friends, my mom has Covid and we are fighting for her to recover soon. She is at the intensive treatment centre receiving all the care. Thank you in advance for the prayers, positive energies, and affection ever. Strength mom”
Following the death of his mother, Ronaldinho’s former club Atletico Mineiro took to their twitter handle to pay their condolence message to his mother.
The club statement read: “It is with great sadness that Clube Atlético Mineiro receives the news of the death of Doña Miguelina, mother of Ronaldinho Gaúcho,”
“The Atleticana Family is in mourning and shares the moment of pain with their idol. May God receive you with open arms and comfort the heart of our eternal ace.”
