Australia is facing it biggest ever national crisis and doesn’t seem to quench anytime soon. Wild bushfires ravaging rural communities across the nation.

Australia is not new to bushfires but this year’s bushfire season has been described as “unprecedented” in their ferocity and scale.

An estimated number of 6.3 million hectares (16 million acres; 63,000 square kilometres; 24,000 square miles), destroyed over 2,500 buildings (including over 1,300 houses) and killed 25 people as of 5 January 2020, with a further six missing in the state of Victoria.

The fire started in September 2019 but has escalated in 2020. The New South Wales Government declared a state of emergency. The Australian Fire Departments, Police, Army and other volunteers are working around the clock to salvage what’s left behind.

Social media users have started a campaign to raise funds to help save Australia and also pray for the country.
