It is always a joy for Christians when a former ‘wanderer of the world’ converts to Christianity. Azigiza Jnr, Papa Shee, K.K Kabobo are few of secular musicians who embraced the principles of Christ and thus switched over to gospel musicians.
The latest person to follow the trend is Naa Kay, a former member of Nkasei. Nkasei became very popular when they composed the satire Tuobodom
Naa Kay spoke to the media and said: “I have come to understand that God is an organized God and for that matter, he doesn’t do things for just doing them. Everything he created, he made them with a purpose. I have come to understand I was created for a purpose and through prayers I believe God has started answering my prayers by revealing to me what my purpose is on this earth.
“With that in mind, the Hiplife songs I made earlier in my career, there are a few of them that I would not sing again because I now understand I was built for a bigger purpose.”
“My gospel is not the generic Gospel; it’s not the usual praises and worship. It’s more of advice for people to move from their bad ways and inspiration to people doing good to move on to do better things. I call it gospel mainly because there is good news in my music.”
We are just wondering if his partner, Shine will follow suit.
