Former France international defender and PSG star, Jean-Pierre Adams has died at the age of 73.

He was confirmed to have died on Monday morning at Nimes University Hospital.

In his active footballing days, Jean-Pierre Adams plied his trade with big French clubs like OGC Nice and Paris Saint-Germain. His career suffered a nosedive when he walked into the theatre in Lyon to undergo surgery on his injured knee.

A blunder ensued in the process of the surgery which has led the footballer to remain in a coma for nearly 40 years. The incident happened in 1982 when he was aged 34 at the time.

He was born on March 10, 1948, and he turned 73 in March 2021. He stayed in coma since that time and he never saw the light of the day.

For nearly four decades, the Senegalese-born footballer remained bedridden. Adams’ life was horribly turned upside down following a botched operation on his injured knee.

In another story published on Ghgossip.com, Ghanaian skipper, Asamoah Gyan has refuted claims he deliberately missed a penalty at the 2010 World Cup due to an ex-girlfriend he wanted to spite.

Recall that Ghana came to a standstill the moment Asamoah Gyan missed the penalty against Uruguay that would have seen the nation progress to the Semi-final stage of the competition.

A Twitter user had created a parody account that claimed that Asamoah Gyan missed the penalty on purpose to break the heart of his then ex-girlfriend.

Asamoah Gyan has since refuted the claims and has made it known that there is no iota of truth in the allegations and his legal team would take the parody account on.

He wrote: Disregard this fake and criminal page portraying my image as my official Twitter handle. My account is duly verified . Pls take not and deal with that faceless person accordingly as criminal, anyone with info about him should alert my manager @AnimSammy for action to be taken.
