The Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has joined the tall list of renowned personalities who have signed the book of condolence opened at the British High Commission in Accra for Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

The husband of the Queen Elizabeth II died some days ago and to honour him, a book of condolence has been opened for him.

Taking to his verified social media handle on Instagram, JDM shared some photos and added the caption;

”He lived a long and fulfilling life during which he touched the lives of many across the World, especially young people.

At this time, our hearts go out to Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family.

May his gentle soul find peaceful repose.”

Meanwhile, the former president and his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have donated a whopping GHC10,000 to the family of the 10-year-old boy who was murdered in Kasoa.

The donation was made when the 2020 running mate for the National Democratic Congress and some members of the party visited the family.

Taking to her Facebook handle, she shared some photos with the caption;

“I spent my morning in Amanfrom near Kasoa commiserating with the mother and family of the 10-year-old who was gruesomely murdered allegedly by two teenagers. This despicable episode demands national soul searching and an honest enquiry into the direction of our country. Even as a mother and grandmother, I do not pretend to fully comprehend what my fellow mother is going through at this moment save to offer prayers and words of sincere sympathy. On behalf of Former President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC, we made a token donation of GHS10,000.00 to the family. May Allah grant solace and strength to the bereaved family particularly in this holy month of Ramadan.”
