Former England international Jermain Defoe miraculously survived a deadly car crash involving three vehicles on Saturday, September 28.
The incident was reported to have occurred after his side, Rangers’ 5-0 win over Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium.
Per reports gathered, Defoe was pictured speaking to police near the Clyde Tunnel in Glasgow, just moments after the accident.
A Rangers spokesman has since confirmed Defoe was indeed involved in the crash that involved a Range Rover and two other vehicles.
Additionally, an eyewitness account suggests that another girl who was in the company of the football star was also involved in the clash.
“Defoe and a lady – who looked like she was his girlfriend – were in the Range Rover. The BMW M4 sports car was travelling south. It appeared somehow to go through the central reservation and clipped Defoe’s car,” the eyewitness said.
Defoe also took to his social media handles to thank fans who sent him goodwill messages, confirming he was unhurt.
“Thank you for all your lovely messages. I’m fine, I’m all good,” he posted on Instagram.
