The former Swansea City and Welsh football legend, Dai Davies has died at the age of 72.

 Dai Davies earned 52 caps for Wales and had an illustrious football career. Several condolence messages have flooded in from the stakeholders in football. His former club, Swansea City took to Twitter to react to his death.

He was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer last year at the Royal Hospital in Liverpool and he managed the cancer till his death.

A tweet from Swansea read:

“Rest in peace, Dai Davies. Everyone at Swansea City send their deepest condolences to the family and friends of former Swans goalkeeper, Dai Davies, who sadly passed away following his battle with cancer.”
