Lil Wayne and controversies are almost bedfellows and in a fresh development brewing in his camp, he will probably be incarcerated for ten years for allegedly possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

The U.S. District Attorney in the Southern District of Florida charged Tunechi, whose birth name is Dwayne Michael Carter, with a felony count of weapons possession. The Lillipop rapper has been accused of carrying a gun during a holiday flight on a private plane in December 2019.

Lil Wayne according to the report “knowingly possessed a firearm and ammunition in and affecting interstate and foreign commerce, knowing that he had previously been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year,” prosecutors allege in court documents obtained by Variety.
