From Rock Star To Africa’s Number 1; Kuami Eugene Discloses Why He Now Calls Himself, ‘Africa Number One’

Multiple award-winning highlife musician, Kuami Eugene from labeling himself as the Rock Star has also started saying ‘Africa Number 1’ in his songs.

Well, in an interview with MzGee on 3FM, when asked why he now calls himself by that name, Kuami Eugene explained that;

“When I started calling myself Rockstar, people were mocking me and asking what I meant by that. But now when I go on stage and scream ROCK, they answer STAR. And I’m wondering if its not the same people who mocked me when I began calling myself that,”

Kuami Eugene continued,

So very soon people will begin to believe that I’ll be Africa’s number one. Even as at now, people respond when I say Africa with Number 1. I’m speaking it into being. Besides I’ve won an AFRIMA as Most Prominent African Artiste of the Year, I have a lot of African nominations, I’m going for an African tour this year so little by little we are getting there.”
