Actress and producer, Funke Akindele has been slammed for snubbing her fathers funeral to chill in Dubai together with her siblings.
The matter has even angered the Bishop of Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Ikorodu, Rt. Rev Samson Osundina, who expressed his disappointment that the actress and her siblings did not attend their father’s funeral.
The Hon. Reverend admitted during the burial sermon that the children (Funke and her siblings) did well to take of their late father when he was alive but ignoring him during his last moments when he demands their final respect is not pleasing.
Funke’s father Revd. Godwin Olusoji Akindele, died on Saturday, December 7, 2019, after a brief illness, aged 73.
