Earlier today we reported on a touching message Funny Face penned down for his favourite friend Emmanuel Adebayor to commemorate his birthday which occurred yesterday, Nov. 29.
Indeed we were not exaggerating when we labeled the message as emotional and added that social media users literally shed tears for its profound content. Read it here.
The Togolese international himself has corroborated our stance when he admitted that Funny Face’s message was so emotional that he wept like a baby when he finished reading it.
The legendary soccer star said that the last time he cried was when his father died in 2005 but Funny Face has caused him to cry for the first time after 13 years.

SEA, after reading a testimonial from a friend, a brother today @themalfunnyfaoe I feel grateful. I am confidently have accomplished an important mission in my life.
@therealfunnyface why are you doing this to me brother? Why? I will be honest with you and everyone reading, the last time I actually cried was in 2005 when my father passed away.
Today, I had an intense training session and felt extremely ‘tired afterwards. As I sat down in my car ‘ and was reading your message, I could not hold my tears.
I felt weak for a second, but it gave me strenght at the same time.
Weak because having someone name his child after you is something, now wishing that child’s child is also named after you is something else. I am truly moved and humbled by that.
I felt stronger after reading this because it reminds me that I am doing something right. Supporting you is one thing that keeps me going; and trust me I will never stop brother.
Only a few friends become family and @therealfunnyface, I am proud to call you family. You did not build me a ‘ mansion, you did not buy me a car… but know that you got me the best gift: your friendship. You: know I am always here for you no matter what.
Tough days will still . ,come for you, tough days will still come for me. Most importantly know that we will be here to support each others, as brothers do.
