The founder of the Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko is petitioning Ghana’s Parliament to pass a law that will incriminate adultery.
His call comes after he stated that the currently anti-LGBTI bill before parliament that is being championed by some seven members of Parliament is bogus.
In his view, the bill if passed into law will infringe on the fundamental human rights of these individuals.
It is due to this that he is also petitioning parliament to pass a law to incriminate adultery. Taking to his verified social media handle on Twitter, he wrote;
“Majority of Ghanaians are Christians. They believe in upholding Christian values. Adultery is a serious sin punishable by death (Lev. 20:10). I am therefore proposing a petition to Parliament for a Private Member’s Bill for a law against adultery, imposing stiff penalties.”

@deowap – Ghana is not a Christian state, hence not governed by Christian rules. Yet, we have a culture that defines our pattern of life. Our culture has kept us and makes our societies better than the west. LGBTQ+ is not only a religious problem; it’s a cultural one.
