Germany has lent a helping hand to neighbouring country Italy, as it struggles to fight the novel coronavirus which has crippled the country since it outbreak.

MedEvac Airbus A310, the flying ICU plane has been activated to fly patients from Italy to Germany for treatment. The aeroplane has 25 medical staff and 44 beds, of which 16 of them are specifically for high risk patients.

The aeroplane has been fully equipped with state of the art medical materials such as;

4 “IP 2000” infusion pumps
1 central monitor system
1 refrigerator for medical chilled goods
