Hip-life artiste Kontihene, now called Ohene, has disclosed that Artistes in Ghana don’t know the power they wield in this Industry. According to him, Artistes think Charterhouse is doing them a favour with the Awards scheme, instead Charterhouse takes Songs & Images of Artistes, send them to Vodafone for money and also take money from the fans of the Artistes in the name of Votes.
In his Facebook live video, he said,
“Most GH Artistes think Charterhouse is doing them a favour by nominating them for the awards. The fact is Charterhouse uses your brand; they take your Songs & Images and send them to Vodafone for money in the name of sponsorship, and on top of that, they also take money from the fans of the Artistes in the name of Votes.”
He continued, “Look at how fans of Stonebwoy and Shatta wale voted? They are just making money off the Artistes and their fans, they are not doing any Artistes favour, and at the end of the day, they would give them that glass, smh.”
