Presidential Candidate of National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama is saying sitting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is more desperate and frustrated to grab power in the upcoming 2020 general elections.

Speaking in an interview with TV XYZ former President Mahama said President Akufo-Addo is deliberately using ethnic sentiments against him to win Ghanaians sympathy coming December 7 election.

“I can understand President Akufo-Addo’s frustration, desperation and deliberate attempts to whip up ethnic sentiments, but that will not wash.”

However, Flagbearer Mahama says he don’t think such political game will work for the NPP and against, because Ghanaians know he’s not tribalist.

“I don’t think it will work. I have advocated campaigns on issues of Tribalism and divisions, and that is waht I’m focusing on as I engage and interact with people on my tour.”

He then disputes allegations lazied against him of ethnic sentiments.

“It is important for me to point out that no one has described his ethnic group or any other ethink group in the manner in which the president mounts this complaint.” He siad this in reply of “Akyem Sakawa” alleged enthinic words.
