Dr. Sekou Nkrumah, son of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah has asked Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama of National Democratic Congress (NDC) for 2020 general elections, to not use his father’s name and legacy in NDC’s campaign. Arguing that, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah has no connections with opposition NDC,
Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was one of the founding fathers of Ghana. He founded Convention People’s Party (CPP) and the leading member of The Big Six. Dr. Sekou Nkrumah is one of his biological children with his Egyptian wife Fathia Nkrumah.
Taking to his social media post sighted by Ghgossip.com Dr. Sekou Nkrumah has cautioned Presidential Candidate Mahama to desist from using his fathers name in his 2020 election campaign. He said Dr. Kwame Nkrumah has nothing to do with NDC
“Please someone should tell Mahama not to use Kwame Nkrumah’s name on his campaign. Our first President has nothing to do with NDC,”
Although, he didn’t specifically disclosed what stirred him to say that to Mr. John Dramani Mahama, but we know Dr. Nkrumah’s political ideals of Nationalism quite differ from that of the NDC.
Politically, Dr. Sekou Nkrumah has, for the past few months, been unleashing his dislike for John Mahama, and how he hates to see the former President come back to power.
According to him, Ghanaians have now understand politics to a degree that they will not bow to propaganda politics to influence their voting decisions. Alleging that former President Mahama and the NDC treaded on lies to win power in their previous administrations.
““Ghanaians are not fools, no amount of lies or propaganda can make them change their minds just four years after voting Mahama out”, He said.
“I think it should be made clear to the NDC that nothing can make them win power under the leadership of Mahama. He was president before and did not perform, his government was corrupt and incompetent!” He ended.
