The President of the Republic,Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says government will have great plans for the automobile industry and as such car dealers should not be disturbed about the proposed ban of Importation of salvage cars.
Speaking in an interview with kumasi base Kessben FM and monitored by ghgossip.com,the president explained that they want to change the whole face of the automobile industry in Ghana in the next five years.

“We deserve better as a country and we don’t deserve salvage cars .We can manufacture our own here and that’s our focus in the next five years ,so those in the automobile business should not be worried what we want to do will enhance their business”, Akufo-Addo said in an interview.
The implementation of the Importation of banned salvage cars was scheduled to take effect from October 1,2020 but of the has been suspended till further notice.
