Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama, of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), is promising Ghanaians a free quality healthcare better than National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

According to former President Mahama, Ghanaians deserve access to quality healthcare which is free and efficient.

The provision of free and efficient quality healthcare has been one of the strongest campaign message of Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama in his 2020 general elections. This has led him to reiterate his promise in his Facebook post on Sunday 26 September 2020.

Mr. Mahama says when NDC come into power in December 7 general elections, his government will introduce a Primary Healthcare Plan to benefit all Ghanaians.

According to the NDC. no Ghanaian will be required to pay for treatment when you visit any district hospital, a polyclinic.

Moreover, he also promised to build more Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound anywhere in Ghana.

“You deserve access to quality healthcare. This is why the next NDC government will introduce and implement an efficient free Primary Healthcare Plan to benefit all Ghanaians. No Ghanaian will be required to pay for treatment when you visit any district hospital, a polyclinic, health centre or CHPS Compound anywhere in the country. I guarantee you this will be done!” He promised.
