Some National and Regional executives of the governing New Patriotic Party on  Sunday stormed the Akwatia Constituency in the Eastern Region to engage in a unity walk as there is still huge of uncertainty for the party in the Constituency going into the  December polls.

Among the executives and high profile members were Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Sammy Awuku, National Organizer of the NPP, and the National Women’s Organizer Kate Gyamfua.

Some Eastern Regional Executives including, Eastern Regional Organizer, Kwame Appiah Kodua, and Regional Youth Organizer – Jerry Osei-OPoku, as well as some regional Campaign team members were also part of the unity walk.

Thousands of NPP supporters participated in the walk but embittered Member of Parliament for Akwatia Mercy Adu Gyamfi popularly known as Ama Sey who was expected to participate in the event to demonstrate reconciliation and unity was absent.
