Police in Accra have begun a search into persons alleged to have initiated disturbances in the Odododiodoo constituency yesterday 25 October,2020.

Clashes between sympathizers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during a peace walk left 15 persons injured.

In an interview with Citi News and monitored by, the Public Relations Officer for the Accra Regional Police Command, DSP Afia Tenge noted that the command has commenced investigations to the matter.


“No arrests have been made yet, but the situation is calm and efforts are underway to get some persons whose names have been mentioned for allegedly initiating the fight to be arrested as the investigation continues. Meanwhile, the police have intensified its presence in the area to prevent any reprisal attacks,”she noted.

This follows the violence clash between the major political party supporters (NPP and NDC) in James Town in the Odododiodoo constituency.
